In this session we will discuss the experiences of people with lived experience of mental health problems in relation to Self-directed Support (SDS).
Hannah Tweed will present findings from “My Support My Choice: people’s experiences of SDS in Scotland”. Tom Scott and a See Me volunteer will then explore practical and systematic ways of reducing mental health stigma and discrimination in the delivery of SDS.
The workshop will look at foundational mental health inclusion elements of SDS in light of the "My Support, My Choice" report, and participants will be invited to discuss how to ensure equitable access to social care.
This live session will be recorded. Accessibility – BSL / English interpreters and electronic note-takers will be provided for this session.
