About this session

3pm-4.45pm

In June 2011 whilst caring for his mum Joan Whitelaw, ALLIANCE National Lead for Caring and Outreach, Tommy Whitelaw launched a Letters, Life and Love stories campaign. Walking across Scotland and speaking to carers, he collected hundreds of individual stories and experiences about caring for loved ones.

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Tommy’s walk, and in honour of his mum Joan and the incredible families and people he has met along the way, we will be joined by two remarkable keynote speakers; Maureen Bisognano, Professor Emerita and Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and Henry Simmons, Chief Executive at Alzheimer Scotland. This session will be chaired by ALLIANCE Director of Strategic Partnership and Engagement, Irene Oldfather.

This live session will be recorded. Accessibility – BSL / English interpreters and electronic note-takers will be provided for this session.
